V.E. Woodard or “Woody” as he was more commonly known, was born in Cresson, Texas which was a small farming and ranching community where his father owned the general store. Eventually, Woody moved to Fort Worth, Texas and started out working with Veil Crawford Hardware Supply. Having a knack for the business, he took out a $500.00 loan and established Woodard Builders Supply
in 1936. The original store was located in the heart of downtown Fort Worth, Texas and was a one-man operation which provided everything from weather vanes to the commercial hardware of those times. Woody’s first big break came in the opportunity to provide hardware for the Will Rogers Memorial Center where much of the hardware is still in use today!
We are a fourth generation family owned company and to this day it is our aspiration to be the foremost supplier of architectural doors, frames and hardware
in North Texas. We understand the cornerstone to achieving this goal is through the partnerships and successes we share with our customers.
